The President of Uzbekistan has signed Law No. ZRU-1042 dated March 3, 2025, strengthening control over dust generated during construction. Companies that fail to comply with environmental regulations may now face fines.
What are the new requirements?
According to the new rules, construction companies are obligated to take measures to reduce construction dust. Inspectors will monitor construction sites and surrounding areas for compliance with environmental standards.
What fines are introduced?
If a construction site with an area of 500 m² or more fails to implement dust prevention measures, a fine of 10 BRV (base rate value) will be imposed.
For repeated violations within one year, the fine increases to 50 BRV.
Strict control over construction sites will help reduce dust levels, improve environmental conditions, and make construction safer for the surrounding community.
