Our law firm has advised one of the major Uzbek private commercial banks in reaching agreement on the terms of a hedging agreement with one of the biggest players in hedging market in the world, eventually resulting in execution of the ISDA MA and issuance of an Uzbek law legal opinion on its provisions, to the satisfaction of the counterparties.
During implementation of this project our law firm assisted the parties to navigate the specifics of the Uzbek law requirements in relation to these kinds of transactions, including but not limited to regulation of derivative transactions, as well as the application of Uzbek foreign exchange regulation with respect to such hedging agreements.
