Our law firm is providing legal support to a major state-owned company on the project for attracting cross-border financing from several foreign financial institutions in the form of loans amounting over USD 100 million.
As part of this project, we assisted in adapting loan agreements to comply with Uzbek legislation, ensuring their alignment with legal norms and international standards. Additionally, PraeLegal Uzbekistan participated in negotiations with counterparties, representing our client’s interests and facilitating the achievement of favorable cooperation terms.
An additional key task was ensuring the legal validity of Uzbekistan’s sovereign guarantee for a portion of the loans. This required close coordination with government authorities to properly structure all procedures, minimizing potential legal and financial risks for our client.
This project is being implemented with the direct involvement of Partner Mirzaaziz Ruziev and Junior Associate Muzaffarbek Bekmurodov, showcasing our expertise in international financial law, transactions governed by foreign legislation, and state-backed guarantees.
